The second in our series of workshops with artist Kitty Hillier at Newquay Orchard :

Workshop 2 - 11 November, 10am - 1pm : Slow looking and experimental drawing

Walking, slow looking, experimental drawing and mark-making to document shapes of seed heads, grasses, ourselves in the landscape, and other details we notice in the moment. Distilling — abstracting, reducing things to their simplest forms alongside exploring movement and expression with ink, allowing space for chance. At the end of session 2, we will layer our favourite inky marks and abstract shapes to the large-scale collaborative painting, and celebrate all the different marks we’ve created and how wonderful they look together.

The resulting collaborative artwork will be displayed in Canteen at the Orchard from 18 November 2022 - January 2023 (open daily 8.30am - 4pm).

Open to everyone. No experience nessecary.
