Space Hire
We are pleased to offer ALMA as an affordable space for artists and community organisations hire for meetings, workshops (daytime or evening), and community events at affordable rates. Located in the heart of the town, it offers a welcoming, and creative atmosphere; the perfect place to bring people together. You can also hire the space for a week-long pop-up exhibition.

SPACE HIRE GENERAL TERMS
ALMA Artspace may only be used for the purpose for which it has been hired. If at any point a hire disrupts the core business of ALMA or violates any of the terms & conditions set out in the hire agreement, the gallery reserves the right to discontinue the hire. In this situation no refund will be made.
The hire fee for the gallery space is £200 for one week, the standard schedule for hire is: install on Monday, open to the public on Tuesday, with the private view Tuesday eve and exhibition open until Sunday afternoon.
The deposit is 50% of the total hire fee and is required to secure the booking.
The full balance is due 14 days prior to the hire and it’s not refundable.
Any sales of artworks / books etc. must be conducted and organised by the hirer. In the interest of supporting local artists and creatives the gallery will take zero commission on any sales.
INSTALL / DE-INSTALL:
Installation is on a Monday. All works then need to be de-installed by 9pm on Sunday. The hirer is responsible for all aspects of install and de-install. The hirer shall at the end of the hire period leave the premises in a clean and orderly state. Any holes from fittings and fixtures will be made good in preparation for the next hire.
OPENING HOURS:
Exhibitors are responsible for managing their own opening hours and invigilation. ALMA will accept no liability for damage or theft of works during that time.
PROMO:
We do not offer promotional support, but you’re welcome to tag us on socials and we’re happy to share on ALMA Instagram stories.
PRIVATE VIEW:
Any private view (PV) or event must end by early evening (8pm latest) to avoid disruption to neighbours.
INSURANCE:
Exhibitors are responsible for insuring their own work and equipment.

OUTDOOR AREA:
The larger backyard is not included in the hire and must not be used during the exhibition, ex-cept access to the toilet / kitchen area.
We have a small yard attached to the gallery space that you’re welcome to use (small bar, chairs and table). Please note that the premises isn’t licensed so you are unable to sell alcohol at your PV events but you can offer free drinks.
