Hannah Waldron ‘Still Lives Series’ Exhibition & Collaborative work

For the third in our series of artist-residencies at Newquay Orchard, ALMA Artspace is delighted to present a new exhibition and collaborative project by Falmouth-based artist Hannah Waldron.

Hannah Waldron’s work combines weaving, drawing, sculpture and storytelling to explore textiles and its expanded field. With a playful approach to making, each body of work is an attempt to develop both visual and material language that articulates both internal narratives with broader relational networks.

Now showing at the Orchard : seven weavings from Hannah’s Still Lives Series - originally shown at a solo exhibition at Newlyn Art Gallery in 2022. Alongside this, we are exhibiting an installation of weavings made during Hannah’s workshops by Orchard Volunteers and members of the public - resulting in a collaborative composition of weavings placed together on a raw linen background.
