ALMA Field Day

ALMA Field Day is a sumptuous seasonal celebration of art, music, creativity and community, inspired by the people, landscape and stories of Newquay, hosted on the historic Barrowfields, an ancient Bronze Age burial ground in the heart of the town.

Tom Sewell Solstice Sculpture Circle workshop at Newquay Orchard, 2024

At the heart of the festival will be an exploration of Newquay's fascinating ancient past and inspiring contemporary community as we unveil The Newquay Monoliths / An Menhiryon Tewynblustri: a public sculpture projected created by artist Robin Sullivan, in collaboration with the community.

With a programme of family art and clay workshops, live music, a community picnic, inspiring talks with Stone Club and an unveiling ceremony (programme times coming soon), ALMA Field Day promises to be a great day out, for all the family.

We can't wait to see you at the Barrowfields!

Location: The Barrowfields, Narrowcliff, Newquay TR7 2RZ

Tickets are FREE and everyone is invited.

We have creative family friendly art workshops happening through the day and these are availavble to book for a small fee. Pre-booking is recommended. There will also be refreshments available to purchase (or, bring your own picnic!)

The programme of talks and live music are free and open to all but booking is essential:
